Brexit Update
How might Brexit impact Employment Law?
Alongside the recent heatwave in the UK, Brexit discussions have been heating up over the last few weeks.
The Government recently published its White Paper “The Future Relationship between the United Kingdom and the European Union”, in which it proposes that there be no regression in terms of employment laws.
What Does This Mean For Managers?
In the interim, there are no changes. And according to the Government paper, there are unlikely to be any changes to EU based laws (such as TUPE, the Working Time Regulations and collective consultation requirements) when Brexit occurs. However, the eventual outcome will be subject to the terms of any Brexit deal agreed with the EU.
